With Mount Tarawera looming in the distance, Sarah, Paul, Tom, and I, spent a beautiful day kayaking on Lake Tarawera. This popular recreational lake was surprisingly quiet for a summery Saturday. We saw far more black swans than we did boats.
After a picnic lunch, we continued our paddling to yet another wonder of nature - hot water pools!
Lake Tarawera is such a beautiful place! The kayaking trip sure was fun...oh, how I long for a relaxing soak in one of those hot water pools!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous day you had! It's actually brightened up quite a bit in Houston today. It's like some higher power wanted to make up for the lost hour, so the weather here was especially divine. Glad to see it was the same across the Pacific. :)
