It was pretty darn quiet after Sarah, Paul, and Becky left. Thankfully, Sam rolled in about a week later, and he came with stories. From Seattle to Los Angeles, he sat next to former Mariners All-Star Bret Boone. Then he took it up a notch on the leg between LA and Auckland. On this flight, he traveled with the #1 recording artist on the planet - Lady Gaga - complete with a veil, sequined face, and wearing possibly the wildest boots known to man. Ooh La La!
While waiting for his connecting flight to Rotorua, Sam's brush with celebrity continued when he encountered both the Australian and New Zealand Cricket teams. The travel highlight for Sam - no doubt - was the sighting he had at the Rotorua Airport...his mother.

ReplyDeleteHow is it possible that your first photo of Sam in New Zealand has him looking like a male model, whereas the first pic of me involved sleepy Becky passed out in a face-plant!? Haha.
