Our Digs for 5 Days

While waiting to move into our home for the next 6 months, the hospital arranged for us to live in a loft at the Kuirau Lodge - charming, convenient, and family-run. Other than hitting our heads in the kitchenette (once again affirming that doing dishes is dangerous!), we've been enjoying our stay. More like a bed and breakfast than a hotel, we've had great internet access, laundry facilities, friendly help from Pam, Arthur and Dennis, and private use of their thermal-heated pool and spa - where we've been able to "take a soak."

  2. Hi Mom! I think your blog is off to a GREAT start. I'm kicking myself for not checking it in a week - I'm really jealous of your adventures so far. It looks like you are in a beautiful place and are already taking advantage of the many things to do! I can't wait to come visit. :) Miss you. Love, Sarah

  3. Jon and I read your blog today. We are jealous of your adventure...Jon would be interested in hearing from Tom on his opinion of his medical assignment and of the medical system there...may be too early to tell.

    We will be checking in.
