Our very first order of business upon arriving in Rotorua was for Tom to check in with the Rotorua Hospital. Resource Manager Jo Phipps greeted us warmly with coffee, a cook's tour of Rotorua, introductions to the manager of the lodge where we'll be staying until our house is ready, and - get this - the keys to a brand new, fully loaded Hyundai SUV with only 42 kilometers on it. We'll have full use of this rig the entire time we're in New Zealand. Whatever are they thinking?
Wow- this is your first time driving a new car in, what, seven years or so? Enjoy driving in luxury even if it feels like yruxul (get it? 'cause it's backwards? ... oh, never mind).
