With the United States recently springing forward to Daylight Saving Time, New Zealand went the other direction. Saturday night (or early Easter Sunday morning), we turned our clocks back. Most people appreciate that extra hour of sleep; for Tom it meant an extra hour of being on call. Instead of a day ahead less 3 hours, we're now tomorrow less 5 hours from Pacific time. Summer is over - you can feel it in the morning, see it in the trees, and the days are getting shorter. Must be about time to head North.
Wow- it really is starting to look like fall! The clock is ticking for your return to the US now. Things are really heating up in Houston. Despite lovely temperatures outside, the condo has turned into an oven, temps hovering in the 80-82F range. On principle I am annoyed with the idea of turning on the A/C when it's a breezy 76 outside, but when the sweating starts it has to be done. Anyway... Happy Easter!
ReplyDeleteIt is crazy how different the seasons are across the world. I left Frankfurt, Germany, Friday morning with frost on the ground and returned to summer-like weather in Florida - sunny and in the 70s. The leaves in NZ sure are pretty, though! Miss you!
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful photos!!! You've had such an exciting adventure and we've enjoyed it along with you. I'll be glad when you get back!
